The character that I like the most would probably have to be the main character, or protagonist, of the story, named Rick Deckard. I chose Rick because I find him very interesting, intelligent, and the character that actually reveals the most of himself throughout the whole story. Rick has one of the toughest jobs I have ever heard about in the book, he is a bounty hunter, and a good one too. His job is to kill humanoid robots, or androids, who have escaped their owners and taken their names for themselves. He starts out in the book as quite the serious, straight- foward guy that is only out there to do his job. His marriage is a difficult one, having almost divorced his wife once, and he resents the fact that he doesnt have a decent, real animal in his home, as everybody else (or most people) do at his time. Now, this all resembles what many people would call a bad, arrogant man or someone who simply isnt happy with his life. But the great thing, and the thing that makes me like this character the most, is that Rick has a change of heart thorughout the whole plot of the story. Since he begins to be afraid of the androids trying to fight back at him (one almost succeds in killing him for good), and he has a one night romantic relationship with a female android, Rick starts to wonder if everything he knows and does is correct. He actually starts to appreciate his wife more and more, being sorry for having cheated on her with a humanoid robot. Its this chage of heart that makes Rick decide once and for to stop killing androids, since he finds them to be more than just robots, but rather beings that just want to live like anybody else.
My response to this character would have to be that Rick is the prefect example of someone who takes another, completely different turn in life and starts to change for what he believes in and not what society tells him to believe. I think that even though Rick does end up killing every android he set out to kill in the book, he realizes that maybe killing them isnt the answer, and that they deserve a chance to live their lives as much as the real people. That makes Rick, in my opinion, one of the few people who are really able to capture and value the meaning of being alive and having a life in the book.

My favorite character of the book is Rick Deckard. He is the protagonist of the story. Rick is a very complete character, he is intelligent and grabs the attention of the reader. He is married, but he has struggled a lot during his marriage, that is why he is also a very strong and right minded character, that fought to keep his marriage and not divorce. He worked as a bounty hunter, which was a very hard work and it was very disencouraging. What is very interesting about this character is that he changes throughout the novel. He realizes that his job is harming a lot and he does not want to do that anymore. He changed and started to be better towards his wife and saw androids as beings that want to be part of a society and that fight to get into it.
I really paid a lot of attention to Rick because even though he was making a lot of harm, at the end he changed completely and was a good being. Having such a drastic change makes me wonder that even though this is a book many things can be possible and changing like that is possible to. Having such a round character in the book and with such a brave change, makes him the most interesting character in the story.

My favorite character in the book is Rick Deckard the protagonist, he works as a bounty hunter with the San Francisco Police department. He is a round character because he sees no value in androids life, but at the end his experiences caused him to have empathy towards androids and living creatures. Rick begins the novel being selfish and thinking only in his self and it ends up being tolerant with any living creature, these extreme changes make Rick Deckard the most interesting character. He has also an unstable marriage.
Rick Deckard is a very intelligent person who is focus in his goals, that’s why my favorite character is Rick Deckard. He is also my favorite character because at the end he reflects on life and he finds the real meaning of life.

The character I chose is Rick because he is the protagonist of the story and he is loyal to what he wants and what he thinks. His job in the novel is to be bounty hunter with the Police Department but he actually realizes he's doing no good for no one so he changes to stick with his ideals and insted of killing androids because they only want to fit in society. On his personal life, he is a remarkable person that lived within a struggled marriage which he managed to get it right and not divorce. Rick is definetely a great protagonist.
