One of the characters that I like the least is Bernard Marx. In my opinion, I think he is a very special person that doesn’t get along with the others who actually live happily in the World State. He doesn’t like his physical because of his height. I consider Bernard as a mad or irritated person that criticizes how they changed things in World State. He can be seen as a human because he still has those feelings and acts like one. He is a mean person because he uses John as a tool to make himself popular and to make others like him. I didn’t like this character because of how he acts and just thinks of himself. Also because I consider him as an envious person because once he was popular he loved it. I think he just wanted to be accepted so he always acted bad to kind of defend himself. Bernard is the only character that shares his thoughts or feelings in this novel because he was just like a human. He had some friend- relationships that weren’t exactly like someone would want them because they were not friendships very united. In the novel Brave New World I found this character a little interesting to read about because although he was irritating and hypocrite I enjoy reading about him because I think we can be related to him in many ways and change our perception of life.

The character I liked the most was Helmholtz Watson. Although there isn’t much information about him in the novel, I like him because he is an alpha-plus who expresses his dislike for the World State. He is also very strong and intelligent for his caste; he is the opposite of Bernard Marx. He also likes poetry but has been corrupted by the ideas of the new world in which he has grown. He finally was sent into exile being accused of forming part of the rebellion with Bernard Marx and John.

My favorite character is John. Living on the reservation made him very different from anyone else. That happened because Linda -his mom- was pretty “wild” when she was twenty years younger and had wanted to sleep with many men. That’s why he had been raised isolated. For being her son. I like that John defends the idea that a life without feelings, religion, art and science is not worth living. He had read biology books and liked Shakespeare a real lot. He had actually learned how to read by using Shakespeare books. When he saw the World State he hated it and could not believe his eyes. He even began a revolution by convincing the Deltas to throw away the soma drug. I like that he was so rebellious and tried doing something to get heard and change things. This caused him a lot of trouble and he becomes really intense. I love that he is so intense. As weird and sadistic that this may sound, I love that he uses self flagellation in order to reach catharsis after he feels guilty because that is still rebellious. He does things that people living at the World State would never do. I love that he hung himself because that teaches everyone that the World State is nothing but a dystopia. It gives its inhabitants NO motivation to remain alive.

The character I like the most of the Brave New World novel is John. He has lived his entire life surrounded by normal or "savage" and not "civilized" people, as they call it in this society. At first he hates it to live the normal life, and inspired by Linda's beautiful descriptions of "civilization", he leaves to find a better life in the wannabe-utopian society. Once there, he reaches a point when he finds out the "civilized" people are actually the savages, or the ignorant, towards everything that is beautiful. I think if I would've been in his position, I would've chosen the same or very similar decisions. Since the beginning, I would've probably chosen to go to this "Brave New World", because there are indeed many things I hate about the world I live in. But once there, never let myself become one of the brain washed, muppet-like people in that society. I would've fought to free them from that jail and try to teach them about everything that is beautiful.

The character I like the most of the novel is Helmholtz Watson becuase he is a very intelligent person cause he is alpha and he expresses his ideas very well and it is easy to understand him, I liked him cause he does not like the world state and he critizice severy the organization, I dont like the world state either cause it is going against the human rights that we have today 2010, and I dont think that people should be controlled that way. I also like Bernard cause he dont like the world state, and he is Helmholtz Watson best friend, and they both shared ideas about the world state. But there is not much information about Bernard, but is seems that Helmholtz Watson is more intelligent than Bernard.

the character i like the most in this novel is Bernard Marx, he is the type of character that always has the same point of view he never change his mind because if society and he tries to live a life that is normal as a human but we know that he isn't. I think he never felt secure of himself on the reservation but after he meet John he uses him to be recognized. After John realizes that was being used by Bernard refuses to follow him and that is how Bernard begins to be criticized again and feel insecure so he try to win again that reputation. THis character is kind of ambitious.

The character I liked the most was the savage because I found him to be the only real person in the book. Because he came from a different place he wasn't brainwashed and conformed with the world the other characters lived in. He knew about love, family, nature, rage, all the feelings that people can have. Even if they can be hard he felt so deeply and with passion and he endured things instead of taking soma and doing it the easy way. He knew about history and religion, and most importantly felt all the things that the inhabitants of the "brave new world" were missing, and that are the most beautiful things in life. Camila cruz

The character that certainly I like the most was Lenina Crowne. She was worker on the Central London Hatchery and Conditioning Centre. She caught the attention of the reader because of her attracting behavior which makes some characters like Bernard Marx be attracted to her. In fact she is my favorite character because of her unusual conduct like creating the center of attention when she told Fanny that she would go to the reservation with Bernard Marx, which is the character which all people in the community seem not to like .Other reason why she is my favorite character because of her defiant and rebellious conduct toward the World State when she date a man during a long period of time because the community doesn’t belief in long relationships.
