Wikipedia defines setting as "the time, location, circumstances in which a story takes place...(that) provides the main backdrop and mood for a story or stories. Setting can be referred to as milieu to include a context (especially society) beyond the immediate surroundings."
In what setting(s) does _A Brave New World_ take place? How do the characters respond to this/these setting(s)? What is your opinion of this/these setting(s) and why?

The novel A Brave New World takes place in London in an early time after War. This novel has a very peaceful and different setting than usual. It appears to be that almost all the world was changed to a utopian community. The main setting was the World State were many citizens lived and were controlled to act pacific and be entertained with things like golf games or sex. World State was governed by ten World Controllers. This place was extremely changed with a lot of technological things like test tubes for the ones who were born. This community had also divisions in which you could be an Alpha were you had to be very intelligent or in some other of the four divisions left. Some parts of the world were left the same and never changed. For example Iceland or Falklands Icelands were not changed and they kept just the normal life were you had to survive and live with your own problems. Many people; including me or Bernard Marx, would prefer to live in the places that stayed normal because this setting was in some way very bad. It had all those technological things and medications that made people stay happy and also helped them but still didn’t make life perfect. Another important setting of this novel is the Savage Reservation in New Mexico where Bernard went once. I consider World State as a modern civilization that was looking for perfection.

Yes, let's say more about the Savage Reservation! What do you think of that setting? What purpose does it serve in the novel?

The novel Brave New World opens up in London, in the London Hatchery and Conditioning Centre. The world described in the novel is more a fiction and utopian new world. The world as we know it now has been destroyed by the nine years war and a new world has developed. The brave new world is controlled by a very powerful government leaded by the ten world controllers. Their main goal is to achieve social stability. In the Hatchery and Conditioning Centre, humans are created in mass and are conditioned to work in different jobs and environments. There were five different castes or social classes in the world state, one less intelligent than the other. A new calendar has been developed based on Henry Ford. Freedom has been lost and people are controlled by the world state. The Savage Reservation is located in New Mexico and is the home of Indians. Is far away from the civilized society and it represents the old world. People leaving there are old, dirty and practice native ceremonies.

The novel Brave New World setting shows on like a human factory located in London, it is called the London Hatchery and Conditioning Centre. The world seems changed becuase of something and it was becuase of the nine year war. We can see that people know are under control by a alliance of the ten world controllers. We are able to see that humans are know separated on to 2 different groups called the Alphas that are more intelligent people and the betas that are the less intelligent people. People must follow orders becuase they are no longer free, becuase the main goal of the hatchery is to achieve social stability and create a new world that follows the systems of utopia. I think that a utopia community would never exist even if humans are extreamely controlled, cause there is always someone that thinks differently or/and is not comfortable with they people who control. Thats why humans must remain always free.
